Murphy is Judge Mia's son-in-law and Matilda's husband. He works as an accountant for rich entrepreneur Mr. Shinypelt, who started the company S.C. Shinypelt. He does get engulfed in his work sometimes, but not as much as Mia.
Relationships[]
Family[]
Murphy is a caring father and a loving husband. Though he can get sidetracked at his job from time to time, he is careful to keep family and business apart. Murphy and Mia get along most of the time, but he seems to think that Mia is a bit too sensitive.
At Work[]
Murphy doesn't appreciate his boss, Mr. Shinypelt, taking advantage of him. Though Murphy frequently works overtime without getting paid, Mr. Shinypelt has not given him a promotion yet. The Bananomanomans and the Shinypelts are apparently friends. He has been working on his apple report (he had to write it so the company could convince the apple company to buy their building) since the day he got hired.
Quotes[]
- "Oh Mia, this one's better!"
- "Who needs that report about apples anyway?"
Trivia[]
- Murphy looks almost identical to his wife, except for a slightly elongated head.
- In The Justice Bride, Murphy mentioned Birdena in his coworker. He called her Weddingplanney. Either he made a mistake, but Birdena took the gig anyway, or Murphy's job in planning weddings.
